"Not a great hair cut. And told me incorrect price on first visit ."

"My husband and I have been searching for a barber he and our two boys can go back to on the regular for a long time. We shop around a lot. We got several coupons in the mail for free and discounted cuts so we thought we'd give Sports Clips a try (this was our first visit). Wait time was not bad even though they were pretty busy and my husband enjoyed the sports channel in the waiting area. My 7 and 2 year old, on the other hand, had a hard time sitting still --- nothing at all to entertain anyone under 12 which is probably why the other viewer had such a bad experience. My husband's cut was okay, it needed more cleaning around the ears and back, but we find this to always be an issue (maybe I'm just a perfectionist but if I'm paying for something, I'd like it done right, you know?). My boys's cuts were horrible! My 7 year old's cut was crooked at the back and front and uneven at the sides. I kindly pointed it out to the woman cutting his hair, who all but rolled her eyes at me, but instead of fixing the issues she just made them worse. I told her to stop and got him out of the chair. My 2 year old's cut could barely be called that. It was less than a trim and I was still charged $10 for it. By that time I was so upset I just needed to get out of there. I paid and tipped! Sadly, I hate confrontation. I accepted that we just got what we paid for and that it was a hectic day for them. Well, I received another coupon in the mail and foolishly took my 7 year old back for another cut tonight. This time, it was even worse than the last and I didn't think that was even possible! I wish I could post a picture of how bad the cut was! The ladies there really do not know what they are doing. They seriously need more training. Needless to say we will not be going back to this Sports Clips. If the coupons keep coming we may try a different one only because we are suckers for bargains. And our search goes on . . ."

"I went in to Sports Clips in Mill Creek and had a terrible customer service experience. 1. Marissa, my "hairstylist" seemed slightly annoyed when I asked her for her advice on a hairstyle to have her do. (I don't think that's an unreasonable question being that she's a professional hairstylist). 2. She did not come up with anything and just offered to do the sides slightly shorter than i usually do. I agreed, even though i was hoping for something more creative. I figured it would probably look good because shes an expert at this, right? Wrong. She spent exactly 4 minutes on my hair before saying shes done and asking if i like it. It was totally uneven and she didnt bother to even shave along the back of my neck or even out the back of the hair! 3. Sports Clips advertises "MVP" treatment including (directly from their website): "Precision Haircut Consultation and a Precision MVP Haircut by a Guy-Smart Stylist Legendary Hot Steamed Towel The legendary hot steamed towel wrap Massaging Shampoo TEa TRee shampoo & leave-in conditioner" None of this was offered to me. All I got was a 4 minute haircut where she used clippers on the side and didnt even touch the top or groom around my neck. 4. The machine started to charge me $24 for my horrible 4 minute experience! Then, after some made-up "discount" it lowered to $17 (which is still too high) and then its auto tip buttons asked for a minimum $5 tip on top of that. Me, being again too nice to speak my mind, left the tip and just exited the building. Needless to say I won't be returning to Sport Clips. Im headed home now to fix my hair..."

"I visited this shop twice. The first was my first visit to any Sport Clips shop. The decor, flat screens, and theme is all impressive. The stylist was young, fairly attractive, and pleasant. The haircut was so-so. The invigorating scrub, hot facial towel, and massage chair was nice. I had a coupon that made the first visit free. The second visit two weeks later was a different story. As I approached the shop, I saw two stylists standing around the corner on their smoke break. Not a great first impression. After waiting a few minutes, one of those stylists came inside, checked the sign-in sheet, and called my name. Crap. She was in her 50s, had dyed red hair, and looked like she was trying to hang on to her youth that fled long ago. As I was seated, I got a nice whiff of cigarette breath. Since she hadn't washed her hands, they smelled like Marlboro, too. I endured the cut, wash, and scalp rub but desperately wanted out of there. I won't be back. I look for a different kind of smokin' stylist."
